    In terms of Lucid Air deliveries, 4,369 cars were delivered in 2022 (compared to 125 a year ago). To reach the range of 6,000 to 7,000 vehicles, the company will have to significantly increase production in the remaining months of this year: Lucid produced 1,405 vehicles in the first half of the year, according to its quarterly report. Unfortunately, this isn’t the only practice that is giving Lucid’s sales team serious headaches. An unnamed Lucid source informed Insider that the EV company has implemented vacation ”blackout” periods. This means that the retail team had to work during the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year celebrations. To make matters worse, the retail team isn’t the only one who needs to respect the vacation ”blackout” periods and personnel “working in field sales, service, and delivery departments, along with headquarters sales and delivery,” are also bound by the same regulations and must obey the vacation ”blackout” periods, according to Inside EVs.

    Russell Wager, vice president of marketing for Kia America, told MA that the electric pickup truck will be a global product, and no decision has been made whether it’ll be offered in the U.S. market. However, Wager noted ”our dealer body would love that.” At the same time, the E-GMP-based electric pickup won’t be a value-oriented product like the Ford Maverick. It will bear a more premium design and won’t be an entry-level vehicle in the automaker’s portfolio. The base EV6 also brings Kia’s long 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, which covers the EV battery, and five-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty. Kia includes 1,000 kWh of fast charging at Electrify America stations, good for up to three years before the offer expires, equating to about $430 when calculated by kWh. (EA charges 43 cents per kWh for guest and non-paid-subscription members, though rates can vary depending on whether the station charges by kWh or by time used, which is determined by state regulations.)
